Thoughtful 1995 rework of an original Australian composition (titled ‘My Island Home’ and first issued some eight years beforehand by the ‘Warumpi Band’), has gained national popularity over the years.
Although nominated for an ‘ARIA’ award for ‘Song of the Year’ in 1995, this particular rendition only reached the #67 position on Australia’s national singles chart. 121
