Description
Johnny Otis was a man of many talents, but few would connect his name with comedy skits set to music. And yet before Lieber and Stoller penned their first record, Otis co-wrote and arranged this exceptionally fine RnB novelty tune. He'd produce a dozen more over the next year (1950), most featuring the young "Little" Esther Philipps.
The sound you hear was taken directly from the original store-stock 78 rpm. The analog signal was transferred to 24-bit 48kHz digital and subsequently to best quality YouTube.
