The disco group called Disco-Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes had several singles released during the mid-1970s; this was their biggest hit, which went to #1 on Billboard's Disco chart in 1974, and it also crossed over to the pop chart, going to #10 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. "Get Dancin'" also became a Top 10 hit in the UK and Canada, peaking at #8 in both countries.
