Well here we are on day 6 of the quarantine. Things’ aren’t lookin’ very good for this thing’ to be over very soon but let’s just keep thinkin’ positive and pray that it will soon be behind us all. Today I want to play you a song that I wrote with a couple of my buddies from Nashville, Johnny Christopher who wrote, “Always on my Mind” for Elvis and Bucky Lindsey who wrote some great songs for Moe and Joe. We wrote the song back in 1990 while we were spendin’ some time off the road and we all stayed at my friends ranch in Bogalusa, La.
I was tellin’ them about how much my home state meant to me and they said, “Well let’s write about it”, and so we did... The song is titled, “Louisiana Means So Much To Me”. I hope you all enjoy it.
