Here's my take on a popular traditional Irish ballad famously performed by bands and artists such as The Dubliners, The High Kings, Danny Doyle and many more. I think I've actually heard this originally by Noel McLoughlin on one of a few cassette tapes that my parents owned many years ago.

My version started out just as a live recording but I then got carried away and started adding more vocals and various instruments like a bit of an electric guitar, bass guitar, piano and back vocals. So this is actually a live performance which I've then spiced up a bit. ☘️

If you'd like to play this at home, just put your capo on the fifth fret or wherever it suits your singing and play the chords Ami and Emi (with a quick C and G here and there). Even though the lyrics are pretty sad the tune itself is actually quite catchy, easy to play and has a nice positive vibe.
